A lot of us have been waiting for this moment for a year or two – PlantPub is officially open as of yesterday, September 24th in Cambridge’s vibrant & lively Kendall Square! I checked out this new all vegan, fast casual beer & food hall the other day for their soft launch and can confirm with confidence it was well worth the wait! Their menu ranges from pizzas, to shared appetizers like fried pickles, nachos, and buffalo cauliflower, to bowls, to chick’n sandwiches, to burgers, to even soft serve made with Oatly! They also have an impressive drink menu that consists of a good mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The set up is really nice and casual – take your friends, family, or a date here (I may even bring my book club here next month!) The inside has a few high top tables and stools, and the outside has 3 longer communal tables, which I really enjoyed – I met two very kind people who sat next to me who maybe I would not have spoken to if I were inside.

The founders of PlantPub, Pat McAuley and Chef Mary Dumont were welcoming & warm when I came by, and it’s awesome to see such passionate entrepreneurs behind this new project. Some of you many recognize Pat with his vegan-based TED talks and his social media presence, @eatgreenmakegreen.

It’s been so incredible to see all of the new vegan options pop up this past year and a half, and of course always exciting when a place is fully vegan!
